Agile Analytics v2.5.1 Release Notes

Version 2.5.1 is a major redesign of Feature Analytics — individual feature list, live filter bar, quarterly heatmaps by team and product area, SP trend chart, and process-agnostic field mapping configuration.

v2.5.1 is the most significant update to Feature Analytics since the view was introduced. The entire page is rebuilt from scratch: every Feature work item now has its own row, quarterly delivery heatmaps replace the old tab-by-tab layout, and a live filter bar replaces static pre-configured filters.

Individual Feature List

Every Feature work item is now its own row with sortable columns:

  • ID — clickable, opens the work item directly in Azure DevOps.
  • Title, State (color-coded badge), Team, Product Area.
  • # Stories, Total SP, Done SP, inline SP progress bar (green / amber / blue by completion).
  • Feature Points, Feature Size (Small / Medium / Large badge), Work Origin.

Live Filter Bar

Filter by State, Product Area, Work Origin, and Feature Size — all dropdowns are populated from your live data. Full-text search by title or ID. Active filters show as dismissible chips with one-click Clear all.

Quarterly Heatmaps

Two new charts show Feature Points delivered per quarter:

  • By Team — heat-intensity coloring, totals row and column.
  • By Product Area — expandable rows showing per-team breakdown.
  • Quarter detection uses ADO tags (2025-Q2-Committed format) first, then iteration path, then closed date — works with any sprint naming convention.

SP Trend Chart

Stacked bar chart showing Total SP vs Completed SP per quarter, with an overlay completion % line. Summary table below shows per-quarter totals with color-coded badges.

Field Mappings (advanced)

Auto-detects ADO field references for Feature Size, Product Area, and Feature Points across any process (Agile, Scrum, CMMI, custom). Optional override fields in Configuration → Feature → Field Mappings for non-standard field names.
