Why this release exists
We send four trial-reminder emails — Day 7, Day 14, Day 23, and Day 28 — with setup tips, milestone check-ins, and a clear path to a license before the trial ends. To send them, we need an email address. The previous prompt asked you to retype the email Azure DevOps already had on file and click Send. v6.16 removes that step.
What changed in 6.16.0
When the trial-reminder prompt is eligible to render and Azure DevOps has surfaced a valid email for your account, the prompt now subscribes that address automatically and replaces the form with a 60-second banner: "Subscribed pdavis@example.com to trial reminders. Undo (60s)." The banner counts down visibly. Click Undo and the subscription is cancelled and the prompt does not re-render for that organisation. Every reminder email also carries a one-click unsubscribe link, so the long-term opt-out path is unchanged. If Azure DevOps doesn't have a valid email for the logged-in user — most often a personal account viewing an organisation-scoped extension — the original click-Send-to-confirm form is the fallback.
Consent and control
Auto-subscribing changes the consent dynamic from the previous flow, so it's worth being explicit about what stays constant. The email is the one Azure DevOps already has on file for you — the same source as the previous prompt's pre-fill. The banner names that email and shows the time window before it persists. The Undo button is one click and actually cancels the subscription. Every reminder email continues to carry a one-click unsubscribe link as the long-term opt-out. Customers who already subscribed through the previous form are not re-subscribed.
Also in 6.16.1: duplicate feedback card removed
v6.16.1 removes the green "What should we improve next?" card that lived on the trial dashboard. The Ask Henry button in the top bar (shipped in v6.15.6) covers the same path. Ask Henry remains the single feedback surface — top bar on every view in the hub, the Help & Support page, the homepage, and the pricing page.
Updating
Auto-update from the Marketplace; no admin action required. No new Azure DevOps scopes, no re-authorisation prompt, no consent screen. Every Configuration setting, license, workflow mapping, item-type mapping, access-control ACL, and dashboard preference is preserved. The first time you open the hub after the upgrade, the in-product What's New popup will show the v6.16 highlights once and then dismiss permanently. New installs: grab v6.16.1 from the Marketplace listing at https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=Baytek.agile-analytics.
