Done is your first done state
Cycle time, lead time, flow efficiency and Service Level Expectations now end at the first move into any state you mapped as Done (for example Ready to Release before Released), as the documentation describes. Moving between two done states adds no time, a reopened item still counts its rework, and items without state history use their Azure DevOps close date. The free Forecast widget follows the same rule.
Finished sprints only
Averages, trends, forecasts and "last N sprints" counts use finished sprints only. The running sprint appears as a row marked "(in progress)", and a brand-new team sees "No finished sprints yet" instead of early numbers. Exec Report, Retro Snapshot, Sprint Velocity, Flow Metrics, Delivery Signals and Team Benchmarks now describe the same sprints, and the Readiness check keeps "warn" for a team in its first sprint.
Sprint length counts both end dates
Sprint length counts both the first and the last day everywhere: the burnup reads Day 10 of 12, Live Stats expected-by-today moves smoothly through the sprint, the Delivery Signals per-week rate uses the full length, and Monte Carlo "When will it finish?" dates land on real sprint ends.
Also in this release
Dates and numbers that read the same everywhere:
- The Dashboard shows its "vs last sprint" change once the sprint has finished, and its Cycle Time source chip, refresh notice and sprint dates follow your display language.
- Dates follow the display language on the Dashboard, Aging & Blocked, Sprint Summary and Retro Snapshot. Flow Efficiency rows add up and show "<0.1d" rather than 0.0d, the Exec Report lead time shows one decimal, and the Sprint Summary card uses one word for committed size.
What you need to do
Nothing. Azure DevOps updates the extension automatically. Some numbers can move on purpose: cycle time gets shorter for teams that map more than one done state, and averages no longer include the sprint that is still running.
